After serving his local church in numerous positions of increasing responsibility, in June 1990, Pastor Williams became the youngest minister ordained by the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church. Nationally he has served the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in several positions including former General Secretary, President of the National Youth Convention, Director of Protocol, Director of the NW Region Leadership Conference and Adjutant to the Presiding Bishop, A. A. Wells. In 2006, he began serving as an Itinerate Pastor, assisting pastors on vacation or leaves of absence. Prior to the September 2010 new reformation of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Association, he served as its General Secretary.
On Sunday, July 1, 2007, Pastor LaMont A. Williams began serving as the pastor of “Little Temple”in Seattle, Washington. Accepting the charge meant transitioning this historic church, founded in 1961 by Mother M. B. Ighner, to its 5th generation of pastoral ministry. In addition to his accepting the new assignment, he was released with the blessing of his pastor from Emmanuel Temple Church in Portland, Oregon; where he served under the leadership of Bishop A. A. Wells, and later Bishop C. T. Wells at Emmanuel Temple Church. His primary responsibilities were providing leadership for Worship and Praise; serving as an under-shephard for one of eight membership groups in the church; and facilitator for the New Members class. In addition, he was an instructor for the A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology, Portland Extension.
Under his leadership, this ministry has been re-vitalized and named ‘Restoration LIFE Church’, providing healing to the hurting and wholeness to the un-churched. Each week, Pastors LaMont and Felicia minister in a progressive manner where lives are being changed and souls added by ‘word-of mouth’. In November 2007, the church began “His Hands Extended” providing meals for homebound seniors, winter coats and hot meals for the homeless of Seattle.
Educationally, Pastor Williams' education experience includes BIOLA University (Business Management & Theology), El Camino College (Business Management), and A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology (Bachelor of Theology).
He is happily joined in Holy Matrimony to our Administrative Pastor Felicia, whom he affectionately calls his "Only Lady". They are partnered in life and ministry serving and traveling wherever
assigned. Together they prayerfully
parent their two beautiful daughters, ages 9 and 7.
Gifted with a diverse ministry of prolific Preacher, inspiring Teacher, and anointed Psalmist; his ministry has been enriched by his miraculous testimony of being diagnosed with a rare kidney disease and after enduring nine months of dialysis, receiving a kidney transplant on November 8, 2001.
Pastor Williams is committed to his family, ministering the Word, giving God “High Praise” and the mission of “Reaching People, Relating Christ, Restoring Lives!”
